What is this new trend with young males.

I see so many males who look somewhere between 13 and 18 that look way to fashionably emo. It really is that oddest thing. They've got it all:
The longish hair full of product and stylishly disheveld,
The tight fitting worn t-shirt.
the dark, tight fitting, low riding jeans with the studded belt.

Sometimes they have accessories.

braclets and pins and tasteful hoodies.

but the point is, Who had this much style at 15? Lord. Were our clothes still being picked out by mom? What happened to the jeans and the silly tshirts.

why don't they look like kids anymore?

I suppose this isn't a new arguement, people have being saying the same thing of girls since the first Britney Lolita video aired.

I suppose it's all part of the banket. Our girls want(ed) to look like Britney, and now our boys want to be the next member of the Strokes.

But, I dunno, it's just odd. I remember when I was a kid people liked their guess jeans and their bum equitment shirts. ..and some of us liked our nod to gruge wearing jeans and flannel. ...but that was just for the comfort. I mean a good flannel is hella comfty AND warm. Hell...my cardigan wearing is still a nod to Kurt.

But we still looked like kids. Our boys still wore their big tshirts and baggy pants. ..Our girls wore cut tops but they were still young girls.

It's all an aspect of how kids are growing up faster. All of a sudden they are more concerned with fashion that playing? ..in middle school? I know I didn't fuss much with my appearance till high school, and at that point I wasn't too concerned either. I only became the fashioniesta I am when I got to college and well that took some time to perfect.

Maybe it's all to do with sex. Maybe we start becoming fashionable when be start really becoming sexual creatures. ....gaining sexual confidence.

of course you want to look good, and appear sexy to someone you are attracted. ..I wasn't looking for sex in middle school, so why should I care. It wasn't till I was in college when I started to gain confidence as a person and be confident in my sexuality that it becamre really importent to express my personality though clothes.

and now we know how children are becoming sexually active at such a young age, of course they would attire themselves in the manner which makes them feel sexy. ...I'm sorry, but emo rocker style is very sexy. These young boys are dressing sexy.

and I guess part of the issue is that this style focus alot on the concept of androgony. ...something which is really incredibly sexy in all other parts of the world. ....Pretty boys (and I don't mean PrettyBoys, I mean femine looking males) are sexy partly because they look like girls. ....And these youngsters look even more androgious because they haven't fully developed a masculine asthetic.

Really, I find the whole thing just down right creepy.
