So Lately I've been Obcessed with tomb raider. Seriously. I either want to be Lara Croft, or have hot monkey sex with her in all her various guises.
See, as I've mentioned before, Becky's brother brought his playstation over her when we moved in. ...Original, Old School play station. One night I I was in the mood for video games (and considering all I've really ever gotten into were Mario Brothers (1 is awesome, and 3 is the shit! Has anyone ever played 2?) and the Aladdin game.
So I started playing a bit of Tomb Raider that night, and I got really into it! I like, really into it, so much so I had to run out to a computer store and buy and old School memory card. You can imagine the thrill of the dorks to help a hot girl (or rather any girl with gaming.
And ever since I've been sort of taking my time with the game....the first tomb raider game of course. ...I was visiting friends and used their PS2 to play one of the newer ones and it completely sucked ass! You could die in the training level! ...What the hell, isn't that the point of the training level? to learn out to use the controller and see what does what? of course you're going to fall to your death a few times until you figure out how to grab the wall....and to have to rest the game every time? What the hell.
but, I totally love the old school game, and I've been taking my time with it. ..I'll play for a while, not too much and then I'll get bored with sitting still and I'll just reach a save point and stop. But...the point is I'll get stuck every once and a while, and/or I'll be tired and bored with a level so I'll go months without playing. ...but I dunno if I'm just getting better, or getting tired of playing and wanting to finally reaxh the end, but I've been playing a hell of a lot lately. I completely blew though the Egypt level. Sure, there were snags here and there, but on a whole...that one went pretty fast. Now, as I draw nearer to the end, I kinda just want to get it over with. ...and part of me wants to start over again at the beginning once I've beaten it.
...Oh, but also, I've been watching both movies fairly frequesntly (scratch that, I've been watching Before Sunrise alot lately. I keep thinking I will switch and watch Sunset, which is the better of the 2, but I keep watching the first one.)
And I've taken on a whole new love of the movies after playing more of the game. I enjoyed them alot to begin with, but seeing how the sets were so dead on the the game set ups. the type of puzzles, the random shots of Lara riding her bike, or diving into water. ...I used the think the part in 2 where she holds the globe to show the map was alittle far fetched, .....cool, but far fetched, but then as I'm playing the game, something very similar happens. she puts together and artifact and has it instantly show her it's history before her very eyes, ......and now I think, Wow that's seriously awesome that the film was so faithful to the game!
It's funny, ...the boyfriend has mentioned how when he was here I was the one playing video games. I can't help it. ..I'm so bad.
