Christina Aguilera......Stripped.

I bought it because I really liked the photo spread, and it seemed to have a really long article about her.

Because I am a female vocalist,...I am incredibly forgiving when it comes to the actions of chicks who can sing. ...contray to what you might think, I'm not making this comment for the benift of her present behavior, but rather her past. Back in the day I knew she had a great voice, but given the nature of her first record and how pop and over produced it was, I refused to buy it, however now I did by Stripped. I think it is an absolutely amazing album. I was orginially interested in it when I read in rolling stone that they were actually showcasing her voice more. She has the best voice in the business, and we haven't heard it!

On strip, you do. I love the fact that I am in possecession of a cd that I don't have the vocal ablities to sing most of. It has been a long time since I've had that happen. And I admit I believe all the hype of her writing most of the songs having ulimate control over the album.

I also know there has been a great deal of controversy about her image, especially since the Dirrty video came out, and also concerning what she is wearing, or more so what she hasn't been wearing. ...But you know, if I looked like that? I would sure as hell dress like that! I would sure as hell pose for as many photo shoots as people wanted me to do.

I think it is very empowering and refreshing to hear of a young woman who enjoys sex, and is proud of her body and her sexuality. ..I think their need to be more people that comfortable with themselves. And in reality...people like this have existed for along time, they are called Men. One of the songs on the album makes reference to this. If a guy has sex with a girl, or even goes down on her, he's a stud,....if a girl has sex with a guy or gives him head, she's a slut. How is that fair? The Red Hot Chili Peppers were on the cover of rolling stone completely naked except for the fact they were covering certain areas of their anatomy with there hands. ..This is okay,...but if Christina poses for the above picture, she's a slut. Again, I said I absolutely loved the Blender images.

And I personally see all these promotion images (Blender, Maxim, etc) as her just having fun. The images on the L card of Stripped are very tasteful and Classic. The are all black and white and are artisticly beautiful.

Unlike the images that can be found in the L cards for say Britney or Mariah. Those often involve lots of cheesy neon colors, combining revealing clothing and teenbeat images. Again, cheesy and cliche.

...And on a sidenote I will admit that I have added Christina to my list of girls I would go gay for. ...she is second on the list. Angelina Jolie is number. Eh...it's a list of three, so I'll add the Christina Ricci is the last girl on my list. ....point being that she is georgeous, she as an amazing voice, plus she's not afraid to be adventurous. ..The handcuffs in the picture is a nice touch,...again, if I could get away with wearing that I would. It's a great outfit.
