I had a day off today, which is such an amazing concept in itself,...being that I don't think I've had 2 days off in a week since I started work. ...and this would be my second "this" week. (technically this is the start of our new week.)

I went and saw Sky Captain, and then went and had coffee and read, something I haven't done in awhile, especially since I used to spend at least one day a week, sometimes two, doing it.

I took 3 books with me, finally decided I was in fact in the mood to read more of Michael Cisco's The Tyrant.

This book continues to overwhelmed me with it's brilliance! He can create an scene in 2 pages....so real, and detailed and complete that I am convinced I lived it. (I can still mentally call up scenes I read months ago and play them back perfectly.) ...I always finish a Cisco reading session exhausted....simply because all of my senses have been stimulated ...and I'm also been running at the pace of the book.

And WHAT IMAGES!!! ...I just can't get over the shit that is in this man's head!!! Where does it come from!?!? ...I mean, is it in his head all times? Is this what he sees when he shuts his eyes? Are they his nightmares? ....Does he just pull it from his subconscious as he writes? Is it all a drug trip? I suppose that could be said about the Divinity Student. But honestly!!! I've been told I have a good Imagination. ...and I think I can agree with that....I have a pretty good one.....But SHIT! .....I cannot FATHOM the things he comes up with! I read two pages and stare dumbly around in complete and utter disbelief, trying to let it all sink in before I read more!

I think I’m really hooked on the story now….I think I’m just going to keep reading and reading….instead of putting it done for a few months as before.

And I still need to finish Wuthering Heights. ….Not really enjoying the book, but I never leave books unfinished…..And I’m just so close to the end….I just need to finish the damn thing.

Anyway,….need to do some things before heading to bed, that whole work thing again tomorrow.
