Raven Green is Lara Croft: Tomb Raider!August 19, 2004 6:54 p.m. Related Reading Today's training went better. ...well maybe not better, but atleast I'm relaxed about it. My heart is no longer in my throat and the knot is gone from my stomach. On a completely unrelated note, I have been playing alot of the original Tomb Raider game. Now, this is note worthy because I don't play video games. I don't. ....Back in the day I played a bit of original Mario, but that was only at my babysitters or a friend's house, so I never really got that far. I also played Mario 3 and the Aladdin game. ...and that's it for my gaming. I've watched people play games a great deal and the boys even tried to get me to play Halo....not my thing. I think I even played some Goldeneye, and again not my thing. Plus I was just horrible at it, and I kept getting so dizzy and confused ...but Original Tomb Raider....I have gotten the hang of it quite quickly and it's fun. ...for the most part...exception being when they put in those parts of levels specificly to piss gamers off. The ones where the puzzel is easy but for some reason it is hard hit the buttons just so (B and excellent gamer had one of these with Zelda. I was playing this one level with all his spare time...and became so utterly pissed off! ..he even busted a game cube controller.) .....Ugh I had on of those the other day. Pissed me off so much ...made me lose all of my medi packs. But yeah, it seems I've found a video game I actually enjoy playing (note: the game system is Becky's brother's which we have on loan indefinately). When I first started playing I didn't expect to get the hang of it as quickly as I did....and I didn't have a memory card, so the next day I went off questing for one. ....And why is it I think computer dorks are so cute? There was this average looking gamer dork in the store where I got my card and I talked with him for a bit ....he had the ever so cute reaction of "I'm a gamer dork and there is a cute girl talking about games with me". so he was kind of excited and fumbling all over himself. It was really cute. anyway ever since I started doing surprisingly well! There was this one level that I kept drowning...and I asked one of the boys for assistance and they clued me in on some things, like the ability to move blocks...and at one point one of them started playing, and he got rather far and saved the game there....over writing my game ...and at the time I was glad but then after awhile I decided that it wasn't as much fun if I didn't play out that level, so I opted to just start over (it was only the second level...remember I'm horrible at this kind of thing) and when I got past his save point it really made me feel good ....like "HA! I didn't need him to do all that and save it for me, I did it on my own. Anyway, I need to get going, have to help with dinner. ...At the parents house again so I can steal their cable and watch the Olympics. Yea for the Olympics! |
