Wow, look at me, doing 2 movie entries back to back.

I just finished the 4 hour journey that is the Extended version of The Two Towers. Why on Earth they would every release any other version is beyond me.

I cried, I cheered, I laughed. I really don't think I've been hit by a film on so many emotional levels. I mean....I rarely cry at films...and I was crying pretty much within the first hour...and much more by the end. Call me lame but Sam's speech about there being some good in the world and it be worth fighting for......that gets me every time! every time. And honestly do I need to decribe the lengths the went to the ensure the depth of the film?!?! Andy Serkis honestly the most unsung hero of the film. Every single performance is chilling! It doesn't feel like fiction. It feels like I'm watching filmed footage of old friends, the characters are just so real. I really feel that there is a big different between the 2 versions. The theaterical release is a bit slow, a bit cold, the extended version is epic and beautiful and has such a heartwrenching soul. This is a film worthy of the discription "Classic".

While of course some of the extra footage, although nice, is unnessicary, But those moments are few.

And honestly, now after seeing that (as well as pretty much all the behind the scenes footage) I have developed bothersomely strong infatuation with Viggo Mortensen. Oooo ...mmmm. Even though I know he can't be mine....I honestly wonder if I can be statified by any other man, because honestly, Viggo is the perfect man. He really is our truly great living Renasance man. And don't let anyone tell you different. An artist! And Actor! Sword Fighter? Scholar! And come on....he is just absolutely sexy as hell.

But....that's enough of my girlie drooling. .....Seriously never settle for less than the Extended version.
