| news of past and current. July 10, 2002 5:38 p.m. Related Reading Wow, was I gone for a week. I am such an addict. I have so much to write, and little time. Most of it is pretty pointless and brief. I'm back at my parents house for a few weeks. working in the same old boring office this week and maybe next. then on the 19th I'm having my wisdom teeth removed. Ugh. I've been putting this off for years. oh well, maybe by not eatting solid foods for a week I'll lose alittle of my pooch. Then at the end of the month I think I'm going to go down to south carolina for a few days and visit B and c's family (because they invited me) and B needs a ride back. oh...I was at the Bri and the Carrie's house, with their family, for the 4th. Their brother Mike and his wife Jen have the urban baby myth. Their daughter Parker (as in Peter Park for you spiderbugs) is the reason there are so many annoying kids in the world....because Parker is perfect! She never crys! In fact she has learned to make happy noises when she wants something because she knows people respond quicker to those then when she cries (they want to see what she's laughing about instead of taking the time to decided who's turn it is). Plus this kid, like her dad, LOVES fireworks! B and c's family just absolutely love fireworks....big celebration! ...and there is a picture of father with daughter on lap making the exact same face of joy and excitement over fireworks. Oh, and at one time one the 4th I was in the bathroom changing out of my swimsuit,...the bathroom is directly off of the kitchen. and I heard (what I thought was Bri) what into the kitchen and say "Brian is getting drunk"...and he will often refer to himself in the 3rd person. ...So I asked why ..and the response was "because he's upset because he can't have you". ..which confused me, so I said no more. ..but once I emerged I learned it was his brother.. don't ask. I don't know. July 10, 2002 11:10 a.m. Related Reading Apparently there is a really evil judge that my father works for. Everyone in the department hates this judge. She mainly works with juvenials, and it is because of her that every time an opening is available in the adult department, one of the juvenial probation officers immedately takes it because they are sick of having to deal with her. She has never liked my dad and has treated him horribly in the past... She tired to have him arrested once because he didn't know he needed to appear in her court, and was in fact out of town at a conference. Now it seems that she has made it so my dad is going to be forced to resign,...aleast that was the imformation I was given this morning. My mom told me that my dad was going to meet with some of the other judges today. My mom is entirely freaking out. Maybe I'm in denial, or just incredibly nieve, but I'm not to worried. For one, my dad is sure several of the judges are out of down and have no idea what is going on. 2. my dad has be there forever so they should give him some sort of severence package. 3. if they fill his position from the department, he can fill that person's position (though of course taking a pay cut). 4. He has so much experience and has done wonders for the place, plus has friends in high places, therefore he will have a very good resume if he chooses to apply for a postion elsewhere. |
