So I've had this entry in my head for awhile and since the show on tv in here is relating to the subject I guess it's a sign that I should write it.

the London Real World is by far the best one ever....really it was all down hill from there. London was the perfect cast at the perfect location.

I don't want to hear all this bullshit about how great the Vegas season. (the current show).

The reason I've been thinking about it is because Becky found her tape of Real world London. And before hand we were in agreement that London was the best....but after watching it again, there is really no question! Those people were actually interesting! You had the curvy smart chick who also did Fencing. The cute theater boy who wrote his own play and won a National award! The all American boy ...who was a race car driver. the british oxford educated punk/hardcore rocker, who and the dryest wit and almost had his tongue bit off!....by a guy. The German DJ with slicked back hair. The wacky Aussie model chick ...studying to be a pilot. And the neat freak Brit singer who and an the worst case of tonsolitis ever.

they were all smart...all funny. And they were all really decent people. for example the London cast had the night people and the day people and the day people were really annoyed by the night people....but they would say...."Well ya know...I can appreciate that Jay as a true writing talent and for him he is much more creative at night...so I understand the need to be up late".

Now a days the casts are so superficial. So stupid. And so selfish and self serving. They would say..."Fuck you, I need my sleep, be quite it or I'll kick your ass". ...And actually now a days you wouldn't even have artist (writer and musicians) even attempting to make art while on the show....they all just stay up late drinking and fucking.

The London cast wasn't about that. While they did have romances, they had intelligent conversations and arguements. They had WIT! For example Neal (when he couldn't speak) wrote on a piece of paper,

"I saw Jay and Mike sitting on the couch watching Beavis and Butthead."

"Ironic."

You just don't get better than that!

Or when Mike and Neal are discussing Nationalized health care. And Neal uses as a point the fact that Sharon (the house scapegoat) had almost died and if there hadn't been for nationalized health care...if Sharon had lived in America she would be dead. ....And then he paused and thought....and stated. "Wait. In America, Sharon would be dead. huh." ....teasing about the Sharon being dead would be a good reason to not have nationalized healthcare.

That is dry wit. Much yea for dry wit. Much yea for the London cast. The best Real World Cast ever. and now with the constant need to have beautiful, young people drinking and fucking, we are missing out on how interesting people can really be.
