I love it when people take one incident and just blow it out of proportion and use it as an excuse for a witch hunt (Bush using 9/11 to pursue his own personal vendetta against Iraq) ...now using Janet Jackson's Super Bowl performance as a means to censor sexuality. And I'm getting seriously Angry about it! I might lead a conservative life style but I have extremely liberal views on this subject.

What pushed me over the edge this evening, enough to write this entry, was my reading that Howard Stern has been cut from a major radio network. What the fuck Man! Ugh! I'm sick of this shit. If you don't want to hear it, change the station! If you don't want to watch it, change the channel!

I used to (and upon occasion now) find Howard Stern hysterical (he was funnier when he was married because when he was hitting on the chicks you knew it was just for the show and he was going home to his wife whom he loved). I really loved Private Parts ("I can't say ... but you can say "Big Dick coming out of your mouth" that sucks!") and I love Robin. There are times when I'll catch the show on and find it offensive and ...~gasp~ change the channel, and other times when I find it funny and watch the show.

I getting really sick of this whole "Land of the Free" ..."Fighting for Democracy" ....prostituted (thank you Otep) National-ism....hypercritical BULLSHIT that the country is submersed in. If you go to any country in what we consider to be the "free world", England, France, Spain, Germany, Australia, ETC. and turn on the TV you'll be bound to find nudity on almost every channel, the commercials alone are bound to have a great deal of it. ....if you turn on the right channel you can find sex in the middle of the day. I remember being in my London hotel room in the afternoon or early evening and my roommates turned on the TV and were flipping channels, and what did they find?.......SEX!!!!! SEX on the basic BBC, what an outrage!

I'm sick of ultra conservatives who are so uncomfortable with their own sexuality that they feel that have a right to make me uncomfortable about mine. I read some where (maybe someone else diary) about the idea that the we have a right to freedom of religion in this country, but the now they are making laws to force people to lead a "good Christian lifestyle" whether they are Christian or not! (ah yes I found it! read THIS! (this is a link, this template makes links text color if you didn't realize) That entry is hysterical and sort of a better/different version of what I'm writing).

I am SO angry with the Gov't! I can't wait for Nov. As I see it, it can't come fast enough. As I've said before I don't know all that much about the Dem candidates, I have mixed opinions on Kerry, but this is not the voting year to be informed on the candidates, We need to take a stand this year and just vote GDUB out of office. Not only has he stopped the progress of this country but also sent us horribly backwards! I'm not going to get into how we are a 1/2 trillion dollars in debt, or this war, all I'm focused on for this entry is how we are losing our personal freedoms one by one. Now thanks to dub the gov't can tap our phones and search our homes, and read our email all without a warrant or probable cause all thanks to the wonderful Patriot act. I could be in a bar someone criticizing dub and someone over hear me....consider me a "terrorist" because I'm speaking out against the administration that they could arrest me and hold me without trial, search my person, my home, anything they wanted! hell someone could read this diary entry and feel I should be arrested. Is that something our Founding Fathers would have wanted?

I hate that Sobriety check points are legal! These are unconstitutional! It is ENTIRELY illegal search and seizure! what right does the gov't have to stop my car, and make me submit to a sobriety test simply because I drove down a certain stretch of road at a certain time one a particular night. They are searching my person without probable cause.

I hate that there are people trying to tell me what words I can hear in my music, or what kind of content I can watch in a movie, or on TV. What words and subjects are okay for me to hear on the Radio or TV! What the fuck man! I've been upset about this for years, but never before had I felt this powerless about the subject as I do now.

If I want to be able to go to a porn store at 10pm on the Saturday before Easter with my best friends and buy a new sex toy (as I did last weekend), that is my own business! If I want to buy a toy and get myself off, that's my business ("woman's body is her own fuckin' business" Jay in Dogma). Hell, if I wanted to buy in on Easter Sunday, what right does the gov't have to say otherwise? When did that ever make sense? But..I'm not getting into Blue Laws right now.

Ugh! I'm sick of the gov't trying to force a specific form of sexuality on me! Oral Sex is Bad! Anal Sex is Bad! Gay sex is bad! Bondage is Bad! Any form of sex other than the heterosexual missionary position is Bad! Sex is solely for reproductive reasons and should only be enjoyed by men. Men are given high sex drives to forces them in to parenthood, and women never enjoy sex and submit to it only to please their husband and of course because all woman have a desperate need to be mothers. (yeah I can spot the fallacies in my argument but it's my diary and I'm pissed off).

Ugh, this administration is just so hypercritical! I can't believe we are fighting for another country to have rights and freedoms and democracy and destroy all of our own here at home.
