nothings changed the senates still corrupt & the emporer remains insane, and every day, is a new strain of slaughter, supply lines are less protected, evil on all sides, eye can smell the death on your flesh--creeping in, trapped within the twisting fingers of fear, and all eye see is ewe, that face, those eyes, burning like leprosy, eye can see u there poisoning the air, prostituing Nationalism, and eye want to attack, to rip out your heart and lay you flat on your back, and vomit a world of agony and truth into your throbbing illness of memory...and hate guides our way, eye long for the icy slap of a belt across my back, for the acceptance of death and blind cave war, the giving sleep of depression, the sweet elucidation of savage meaningless agression, chiseled in the meaty forearms of Mother Jupiter and his slave disciples, in the harem tents--outside, just beyond the edges--eye ride, a cycoptic mare in the fires of imagination. feeding my disease, a river of plagues, eye need something to remind me I'm still sinning that pain is important, that wurdz matter, that healing is possible, that eye am not alone ...in this --guard the houses--triple the watch,--Maidens, dig up your sorcery --sirens, sharpen your rocks..ewe will eat my pain again. whatever you need unite messiah ME

Note: I can't find the right words to express my disappointment, so I'm using everyone else's. Today it is the worlds of the brillent Otep as she posted in her online diary.

i am very proud to stand next to those who chose to fight and express their vote ... that braved the long lines ... that voted by absentee ... that fed their heads ... that cared about this country enough to take action.

for some of us, this is a dark, dark day ...

i care about stem cell research, i care about the shitty economy, i care about the growing jobless rate, about illegitimate wars, about the deaths of over 1000 american soldiers for 1 american lie, about equal rights, about abortion rights, about 380 tons of missing explosives, about that FILTH bin laden still breathing, about the future of our democracy and the safety of our homeland - & today doesn't feel like a beginning ... it feels like an end.

for others, this is a day to celebrate ...

their candidate won ... by a landslide ... some might feel the need to blame someone for this ... don't point your fingers at the other side ... they did their job ... they did it well ... they did it better than us ...

so many have asked how could this happen? how could a president THIS BAD get reelected?

WELL .... the same reason pro-wrestling is so popular and still thot to be "real" by a certain portion of citizens, the same reason OJ was found innocent, the same reason the bible is considered a literal account of history instead of teaching metaphors, the same reason this nation was built on slavery and the mass murder of native americans in spite of our freedom spewing constitution, the same reason the klan still exists, the same reason the last public lynching was held in the 1970s, the same reason womyn were forbidden to vote in this country for almost 200 years until the 1920s, the same reason brittany spears is a multimillionaire & considered an "artist", the same reason we are in iraq and osama bin laden isn't, the same reason NASCAR is classified as a sport, the same reason people trust the legal system when it comes to human life & the death penalty but don't when it comes to suing corporations for liability, the same reason we are a tv nation, the same reason most americans hated reading in school but love to "party", the same reason president bush proudly heralds that he doesn't have command of the english language or read a newspaper but is a graduate of YALE.

the repugs won with a campaign of fear and hate ... not hope ... fear of terror, queers, cloning, & taxes ... and manifested by the hate for all of them. this is an angry, arrogant nation that is mostly spoon-fed by the media with little use of our intelligence because what is most important to most americans [at least the ones who vote] is that we are ass-kicking bad-asses with a dopey john wayne as president.

but in the end, for all of us, this should be a proud day for our democracy ... people voted ... maybe not my people ... but americans did ... and because more of THEM actually voted WE now have to deal with 4 more years of war, hostility abroad, terror attacks, a broken economy, the diminishment of the middle and lower classes, attacks on civil and equal rights, and a mandate from this president who now owns all 3 branches of our government.

this in no way relinquishes the battle from my heart ... it does not hide the fire in my soul ... i will still fight for what i believe in ... i will not be silent ... i will not go quiet ... nothing has changed ... the marathon has only gotten longer.
