 Raven Green and Mr. OrangeApril 19, 2004 5:34 p.m. Related Reading Okay, so I'm writing an entry about my new layout. As of late, I have become obcessed with all things Reservoir Dogs. Now....I haven't gotten obcessed with watching it yet...but, I think that's sort of a good thing because it means it's still fresh and interesting to me. ...meaning I watch every moment of it when I do. but aside from that, I've been searching the web, learning various dork facts and information. Oh and the picture above is set as my wallpaper on my computer. I just Love the Mr. Orange imagery. The neural green with the red is so well done and beautiful! I just love all those shots! Now, granted, and I've had this conversation with Becky (her referencing my wallpaper) most people would find this grotesque and horrible to have this guy covered in blood, his eyes rolled back....and if you didn't know what the image was you could be bother....Heh...maybe even those who know what the images is are bothered. I guess this is either an extension of my emotional detatchment or my studies in art...understanding ideas of the Abject...or maybe I'm just so desensitized by gore in film (The Cell) (oh and I wasn't at all bothered by the gore factor of Kill Bill or The Passion....I expected the Passion to have alot more blood and gore than it did!) I guess what I'm getting at is I LOVE this image and I personally don't find it offensive. |
