Okay, so on my little walk a back I was thinking.....

Yea! a pointless little raven thought! I know you're all happy. I told you I'd try to do more of these.

Okay, So I was thinking. Rolling Stone magazine always asks various artists what music or cds they are currently listening to. This can be interesting. For example finding out that the Bassist of No Doubt is a big Fiona fan. Or reading that Trent (Reznor aka NIN) is a big Dandy Warhols fan. ....This is interesting because you can see #1, who is good enough for Trent to buy and add to his collection....and especially promote without commerical motives. #2,People can't help but be artisticly influences by what there are listening to. It goes in and might find it's way out in their art,...a amature copies, and professional steals.

THUS,...here is the point to this entry.

Does it really matter what is in Britney Spear's cd player? I mean honestly come on. What's she going to listen to? NIN, Radiohead? Fiona? wait wait...They Might be Giants, even. No. It'll be things like Janet, or Macy Gray. But are any of these people going to artisticly influence her into making better music? No. Like she has any say in the music. I mean granted, I guess she wrote more of the songs this time, but I mean come on, have you heard the lyrics to "Slave 4 U"? My dear lord, that song makes no lyrical sense. I mean, the groove is kinda fun. But...I don't think she had any say in that. ..I guess my point is. For the love of God...interviews quit asking people who are a disgrace to music what kind of music they listen to.
