However....I have a feeling my reasons are different than most. While the kiss was good...that was incidental. First of all, it further illustrates the power and dominance of Madonna. She stepped out and stood there knowing that she owned all she surveyed and could have and take whatever she wanted....which she then proceeded to do. Guess I've never really thought of Madonna exploring bisexuality....but it makes perfect sense now that I think about it. ..But the point of the matter is she stepped down those stairs so comfortable with her sexuality, so confident with a complete understanding that she could have anyone she wanted, it didn't matter what gender they were. ...I didn't matter if they were 2 of the hottest girls on the scene right now. And the thing is....it's Madonna, she's had that confidence her entire career (remember Antonio from truth or dare?) ...just the fact is...here she is...married, mother of 2 kids in her 40's ...and she can still have whoever she wants and takes it at will. ......not evening Christina or Britney were confident enough to touch Madonna. ....Christina tried petting Madonna leg....but there was some reluctance, you could tell on her face that she was enjoying it...but was afraid of going to far....because it's freaking MADONNA! .....and being the masochist that I am.....seeing that kind of display of dominance.....wow, what a turn on ...hence my reasoning for choosing that picture. The second thing that I liked about the whole thing was the context ....Madonna chose to sing her song "Hollywood" which is entirely an attack on Hollywood. ....and the kiss came right after Madonna said "How can it hurt you went it looks so good". Madonna basically made Britney Spears into a personification of Hollywood! Soulless, plastic. Beautiful on the outside empty on the inside. All about farthing it's own by taking what it can from you. Whether it's true or not...that's the statement she seemed to be making. ....and note...the kiss with Britney is the more talked about and photographed kiss. I think the kiss with Britney was the statement....and the kiss with Christina was just for fun. |
