Tonight/Today, as in the 12th, I went out around 1am questing for a few things. First on the list was the new Garbage CD.

Alas, it was no where to be found. I'll have to go during normal people hours and get it tomorrow. ....Just seemed right to drive around with the first listen being heard in the dark. ...I even asked a nice guy who was stocking things if it was hidden in a box somewhere, and he looked all over! Even back in the back back room!!!

They did however have more than enough of the new Mariah Cary cd. When I asked the guy for garbage he was going through the box, and he said, "well, there's a bunch of Mariah Cary, is that enough garbage for you?"

but...I will say that "The Emancipation of Mimi" is a better title than "Glitter" or "Rainbow" or "Charmbraclet". Becky disagrees.

It took the nice guy a good while to look for the album in the back room, so to fill my time, I sat down on the floor and watched the third harry potter movie on the many tv monitors.

You don't get much dorkier that that. Sitting on the floor at 1:30 am waiting for the release of an album, watching harry potter, holding the Lone Gunmen Series.

Two Hours Later

I am really creeped out right now!! The Lone Gunmen was a late lived series in 2000/01. it had 13 episodes. I watched it when it originially aired, and then again tonight.

The Pilot that is.

The entire plot line of the pilot is that the lone gunmen try to stop a goverment plot to crash a 747 into the world trade center.

I'm not kidding.

I have serious chills all over because of it.

There was one part that really made me want to throw up.

There was a shot out the window of the cockpit as the plane gets nearer and nearer to the buildings. And the last minute the day is saved and the attack is averted.

Now, this was at night, so it wasn't as bad as it could have been.

but the point is, that here is yet another example of how they should have fucking known!! Now, I'm sorry,....if Chris Carter can come up with this idea and broadcast it, and we had national secruity reports stating that bin ladin is standing right behind us,..... Clearly someone in the CIA or somewhere could have figured this out!!

The reason the show gave for the attack was that because the cold war is over we need a new enemy and a reason to go after them.

Becky brought up that it is believed that the gov't. knew about Pearl Harbor, that they cracked the Japanese codes, knew about the attack, but let it go ahead to drum up support for the war. I just really wish they would let the blame go all the way to the top. I know that no one wants to point the finger at either president, because that means that fingers will be pointed at the other and both parties agree that that would be bad. I just don't understand how this attack could have come out of the blue. Now of course we the american public didn't see it coming, but it is not our job to think how evil people will plan to attack us!!! Someone fucked up, Alot of people fucked up. How could they let this happen?!? and now while we are off making war in the land of did-not-attack-us-first, what plans are being made, right under our noses, to attack us again? People are praising the president for being far sighted. I want things to be alittle more near sighted. The whole thing about fighting them there so we don't have to fight them here. Iraq didn't invade us. Someone else did. And instead of thinking of ways to "Protect the Homeland" ...we sent our troops to protect someone else's homeland. The point being I don't see how we have done anything to really prevent another 9/11, we've just been making it worse. Instead of attacking random countries, maybe the CIA should sit down and watch the X-files, or Alias, or the mother fucking lone gunmen, and maybe they might have a clue, or an idea....or a concept of how we might be attacked next!
