nothings changed the senates still corrupt & the emporer remains insane, and every day, is a new strain of slaughter, supply lines are less protected, evil on all sides, eye can smell the death on your flesh--creeping in, trapped within the twisting fingers of fear, and all eye see is ewe, that face, those eyes, burning like leprosy, eye can see u there poisoning the air, prostituing Nationalism, and eye want to attack, to rip out your heart and lay you flat on your back, and vomit a world of agony and truth into your throbbing illness of memory...and hate guides our way, eye long for the icy slap of a belt across my back, for the acceptance of death and blind cave war, the giving sleep of depression, the sweet elucidation of savage meaningless agression, chiseled in the meaty forearms of Mother Jupiter and his slave disciples, in the harem tents--outside, just beyond the edges--eye ride, a cycoptic mare in the fires of imagination. feeding my disease, a river of plagues, eye need something to remind me I'm still sinning that pain is important, that wurdz matter, that healing is possible, that eye am not alone ...in this --guard the houses--triple the watch,--Maidens, dig up your sorcery --sirens, sharpen your rocks..ewe will eat my pain again. whatever you need unite messiah ME

So I recently bought the 'new' fastball cd. I've been a big fan of their cd prior to that, all the pain money can buy, and I was meaning to get their first one,...but it hasn't happened yet. ..Why? because around the time their third cd came out I had most of my cd's stole...which included atpmcb. ...Which I promptly rebought because I loved it so much. I also rebought several others and never got around to buying the new one. Then of course last fall I had my cd collection stolen again. Grrr...and I have yet to buy atpmcb again...but I saw The Harsh Light of Day in the book store for 8 bucks ...so I snapped it up. I got this maybe 2 weeks ago..maybe 3, and wouldn't you know it has a T song on it. Now granted I think it was written for a memorial for someone who died, so the opening lyrics don't really fit....except for the fact that it's almost as if he has died to me..But the rest fit strangely well. It is as follows:

Goodbye Fastball

Digging a hole down in your room
I watched you disappear too young, too soon
and you run out of stories to keep them entertained
all of the vampires forgot your name
you forgot why you came here today
and so you ran away
I said bye bye bye
when the world has passed you by
I will never forget your name
do you know why?
millions of people know what you did
but when it hit ya, you ran and hid
from the money and muscle
the rules of the game
they bought your face boy
they bought your name
you forgot why you came here today
and so you ran away
I said bye bye bye
when the world has passed you by
I will never forget your name
do you know why?
you forgot why you came here today
and so you ran away
I said bye bye bye
when the world has passed you by
I will never forget your name
do you know why?
I said bye bye bye
when the world has passed you by
I will never forget your name
do you know why?
