How did I not learn of this effort sooner!?!?

Incase you didn't know Sony has selved Fiona's 3rd album....apparently the music is kinda out there (god forbid someone make original music) and the Sony peeps who are blinded by sales of Britney Spears and an assortment of others ...don't believe this album will be profitable ...and they don't know how to market it....so they just said "Fuck It!" and decided to cut their losses by shelving the (FINISHED) album. We Fiona fans have been waiting 6 years for more Fiona music...and those fucking sony bastards are keeping it from us. They kept making up release dates to tease us but seem to have given up.

We WANT this album so much!

Now...maybe you're not a Fiona fan, why should you care? Let me tell you why, Do you Listen to any artist that listens to the muse and speaks with their own voice, (Garbage, Weezer, Radiohead, REM, NIN, Manson...) ..you know that new album they are working on that you really want? ...lets say other companies (yes NIN is released on Nothing which is owned by Trent..but also Interscope) decide...."Shit, there's not a market for Garbage anymore! We won't make any money....hell we'll lose money one the marketing and release. ..I Know, lets not release it." If these companies keep silencing those artists that really matter where will it end? We need to fight to let good art be heard! On Monday the 24th Mail something with an apple to Sony (the link gives you all the details). I think I'm going to buy a box of envolopes and a couple of books of stamps and just draw apples and write fiona lyrics...and mail as many as I can! (and or can afford). We need to stand up and keep art from being silenced. Really....if your not a fan...just go to the link get the address...get a piece of paper, write FREE FIONA on it and mail it to sony (address at www.freefiona.org). ...For under a dollar (stamp and envolope) you can fight for art!

I think what I'm going to do is write the Lyrics to Paper Bag on brown paper.

And it is so annoying that this twice platinum artist HAS a following! you can't read a music magazine without someone out there dropping Fiona's name! Tony from No Doubt listed When the Pawn as one of his favorite albums the year it came out ..stating that we are going to see even greater things from her. Otep lists Fiona as one of her muses
