Man, I have so much in my head right now that it makes it so hard to type anything.

I think I'll make a list of the movies I've seen recently and maybe I'll feel compelled to write about one of them.

Dawn of the Dead
Taking Lives
Hildago
Chocolat
21 Grams
Serendipity

I saw Dawn of the Dead with B and C. That was a lot of fun. I was very surprised by how funny it was. Unlike most shitty horror (Fear.com, Darkness falls) laughs are unintention. ...These were intentional and very funny.

Taking Lives was very disappointing. Loved the Angelina and the Ethan Hawk as always, but....so predictable in every way.

Hildago was an amazing film. It had Everything and Viggo was wonderful as always. Highly recommended.

Chocolat. Another horribly boring movie that some how became herlded as Brillent. I don't get. I can't decided if Johnny Depp made it worth watching or not. It was that fucking boring. The story was cliche and predictable. One of the behind the scenes things I watched decribed it as, Unusal and cutting edge. It was none of those things. It was speaking about pushing bounderies and being an individual and fighting tradions and it was perfect example of Tradional film making...from the actors to the costumes to the sets.

21 Grams. I loved this film! This is what films like Monster's Ball, and In the Bedroom,...and Lost in Translation, ...are all trying to do and failing miserably. I can't quite put my finger on why it is successful and the others fail, all I know is that's my perception. I was put off a bit by the beginning and the telling of the story in non sequencal order....but after it ended ...I think I decided I wouldn't change a thing. It is so powerful and the performances are so good! Such a beautiful film!

Serendipity. I had been putting off watching this for a long time. but on Tuesday when I really didn't know what to do with myself and wasn't sure what I wanted to watch...I chose this, and I have to say I really enjoyed it. Yeah...it's very unrealistic, but if someone has made the decision to watch a romantic comedy they have pretty much made the decision to suspend realtity for the duration of the film. It is a very cute little movie and made for an enjoyable 90 minute distraction.
