collections filled with the wrong movies.

anyway, that's not the point of this entry. the point of this entry is to rant about movie dorks.

to modify a line from Good Will Hunting, People surround themselves with movies, but they are the wrong fuckin' movies.

I mean, I have a fairly well stocked collection. it is well rounded and I can pretty much defend all of them.

I hate when I see peoples collections and they are horrible. B and C since the work for columbia house can go to the employee/family store and get dvds for $7. Alot of times they will get bad ones because, "it's only $7". But the thing is I go over there and if I have to pick a movie out I find myself hunting though there insane collection and only finding a handful of good things.

First off the series they have are horrible.

CSI is a shitting show. Don't believe the hype. It is totaly cliche AND more importently It's a Cheesy X-Files Rip off! I hate when I say that and people are like, but it has nothing to do with aliens. ...XF is a show about investigation....in which is often a Crime Scene....AND Scully usually has to Autopsy a body.

Also, never Got into ER. Actually, I hate it, and George Clooney. He is only okay in One Fine Day and Ocean's Eleven. and I perfered Chicago Hope.

Plus they have every freaking season of Friends. I mean really how many friends eps do you need to own?

They also have several seasons of the Sopranos and they don't even watch them.

Plus, on a whole...most of their movie choices are bad. I can't tell you what they are because I don't like them. All I know is that on a whole they are okay to lame to horrible movies that I've only needed to see once. Alot of times they'll buy movies sight un seen and hate them....that or they just don't watch them and keep buying more.

My friend Mike has about the same amount of movies I have, I think, but all his choices are either bad or bandwagon choices.

It's not how many movies you have, but whether or not they are any good.

I have lots of movies in my collection that alot of people I know haven't seen, and when they come over I'll pull one of those off, and they will be surprised by how much they like them.

For example the first night Carrie and I hung out I brought her over to watch Secretary. And I keep showing her things, Like Big Fish, or Playing By Heart, that was a recent one.

Last night I watched Following with Aric and he enjoyed it.

I also have alot of movies other people haven't seen because they think they will be bad, like 40 days and 40 nights or Josie and the Pussycats. I showed that one to Aric one night and he couldn't believe what a great satire it is! Actually, he liked both of those!

It's not the size that counts, it's how you use it! (Yes Raven, but you can't get to England in a Row Boat. .......that's true, but tighter almost always better.)

I survived, hopefully you did as well. I did not even feel bad on Saturday morning. I have still not decided if I am planning on doing that again, or if it was a one time thing. I did have a really good time, except the pull from the crown, and I could see having fun doing it again. However, I am sure that making it a habit is not what I am looking for.

I hope you had a pleasurable weekend. I would attach my phone number here in case you wanted to call me, but I don't have one at the new place yet. Jeff's brother is getting married this coming weekend in Tenn. I will probably be just sitting around the house alone evenings this weekend, if you are not doing anything let me know. Maybe we could rent a movie or something. I hear that you know lots about which movies are good or bad.

I should really get home and unpack some stuff. Hopefully I will hear from you soon.
