The Boondock Saints.October 07, 2002 10:54 a.m. Related Reading ![]() So I watched The Boondock Saints again this weekend. I love this movie. It is absolutely hysterical. ...Plus what can be better than hot Irish Brothers with Big.......um....guns. Side Note: I'm not sure how well this movie would be with a co-ed audience. ...While it is a straight up 'guy' movie. Lots of guns, lots of killing people, almost constant violence and a male sense of humor....The actors are so incredibly hot. ....Therefore if there are chicks watching it is, I would say, damn near impossible to refain from constant expression of this fact. Therefore if you are lucky enough to know girls who like guy movies ~raven raises hand~ then by all means watch this with them...just be prepared for the concequences. But in reality, I love this movie. This is a film to not be taken for more that it is. Just enjoy the hot guys kill people and at the same time laugh yourself silly with their humor, and have a great time. C and I proceeded this movie with Notting Hill because she had never seen it, and we had been conversing alot lately about the ridiculous nature of boobs and our lack of understanding for the male obcession with them. "Really, their just breasts". ....So because of that part, and the whole chickflick factor, we decided to watch the film. However we(at least I) didn't anticipate that the chickflick factor would affect us the way it did. ...So it was nice to watch a film where there isn't the slightest bit of romance. Wonderful, wonderful fun. Oh, and there is one thing, if you ever see this film, watch it on DVD format, and afterwards watch the deleted scene of the Mother's Call. This is absolutely the funniest scene in the film. I mean, it is by far one of the best scenes for any reason (not just humor). I have come to understand why they cut it out. I mean, I can tell they wanted to get straight to the action (pardon the pun) of the film and the scene does run the possiblity of giving away too much right at the beginning of the film, but it is hysterical and a must see no matter what. That and the outtakes. There is one moment at the end of the outtake reel that she and I just kept watching over and over! The chemistry between the two brothers is remarkable, one could swear that they really are brothers. The Offical site is also reporting a sequel. YEA! |
