 Nickleback........yuck.January 04, 2002 8:26 p.m. Related Reading Speaking of album sales. According to Billboard Nickback has the number one album.....What is my response to that? Quite simply I'll allow AP (Alternative Press) Magazine speak for me. In their December issue (With Trent Reznor on the cover) they list Nickleback as one of their top 10 essential albums TO LEAVE OFF your holiay shopping list. Their explanation? "These Canadian hacks have inexplicably risen to the top of the charts by sounding just like Creed. Frankly, on Creed was more than enough, seeing as though we already have Pearl Jam. Buy American!" Trent calls bands with vocalists like Creed, and Nickleback, and just about every sudo-rock band out right now, The Eddie-Vedder School of singing. Thank you Trent for giving the name to something we all knew.  Year in album sales.January 04, 2002 5:46 p.m. Related Reading So I was justing reading the listing of album sales for 2001. Record companies were upset that sales were down, so they started blaming Napster and other such programs.....Did they not take in to consideration that all the mass marketed music is crap? I mean, seriously, I did by quite a few cd's this year, more that usual, but most of those were for people who were publized as much. My Suggestion: Want people to by more cds? Sign People who actually have TALENT! |
