So Question: Has anyone heard of I & I, 200th descendent of Soloman, King of Kings, Lord of Lords, Conquring Lion of the tribe of Judah, his Majesty Emperor Haile-Salassci Jah Rastafasi? I had never had, until tonight.

This guy who works at the coffee house was discussing what he wanted to do next with his hair, and that he was considering having 'locks' again. And he made a point that there was a difference between locks and dredlocks, which confused the hell out of me, so I asked him to explain the difference, and apparently having locks or dreads is entirely spiritual. Apparently Dread locks are about creating the feeling of dread, wanting to frighten away babalon (pardon my spelling tonight) He told me that this was part of Rastafarian theory. And I was very curious. I am always very interested to learn about other spritualities.

Now Rastafarians this guy is the 200th descent of Soloman (I didn't know this but..) which is one of the prophecies of the second coming. Apparently he fulfills several other prophecies. ...Ridding Babolon from Africa, uniting Africa and I forget all the things this guy told me about this guy.

And our spritual conversation grew from there. I say conversation because it wasn't a debate. I wasn't trying to prove him wrong, though I'm sure alot of Christians would, and that's because at this moment in time I am so uninformed that I don't know if he's wrong. But I find it fasinating and would like to learn more. And we weren't sololy talking about Rastafari, the converstation grew from that, he was bringing up alot of things, and again I just stood there an listened because he seems very wise. He used to be in seminary school but he had issues with people knowing certain things to be true, but yet preaching the opposite, and because of that he dropped out. This all gives me something to think about and research. I enjoy knowlege. I enjoy knowing why it is I believe what I believe, knowing that I made up my own mind and that I'm not just believing what I was spoon fed. But from the discussion tonight I started thinking maybe I haven't done enough of that. He said he'd also loan me his copy of the Gospel of St. Thomas. Something I've been curious to read for sometime.
