The following is my picks for the top 10 albums of the year. Enjoy.

1. Poe, "Haunted". Amazing! the Best album I've bought in a long time. It is working in every way It is the best editing I've heard since NIN's The Fragie. Plus, every song is wonderful. Each with its own impactful lyrics and un relenting melody.

2. the Soundtrack to the movie Tomb Raider. Wonderful collecton of sound. From rock to industrial, to dance, to new age, this album has it all, and an over all feeling of butt kicking.

3. the new Tori Amos album. I do not own it personally, but I have heard a few tracks and I want to commend it one in conception. And her version of time? wow. I get teary eyed everytime I hear it.

4.Aaliyah. So sad that she's gone, but she did leave us with an awesome record.

5. REM "Reveal". The Boys are back. What more is there to say?

6. Jewel, "This Way". ....Can we say 'welcome back'. Some new, with some oldies but goodies. Yet I still have to say that I perfer the Storytellers verson of Love Me Just Leave Me Alone.

7. Nikka Costa, "Everybody got their something". Great album for a great new voice.

8. Garbage, "Beautiful Garbage". This album combines alot of things. It has some cheesy pop songs, and some really quiet, simple songs with some really dark lyrics, especially for Garbage. And of course some typical Garbage songs that hit you like a steel toed boot to the head.

Okay, I think that's it for me.

9. Did David Gray's "White ladder" come out this year? If so...I'll put it here. Great laid back album. Made me really long for a new Steve Poltz album though.

10. What about DJ Keokie? did "Jealousy" come out this year? I know I bought this year. I want to ad it to my list too. Great mixture of really dark and creepy with a throw back to the 80's.
